On 16 February 1942 twenty one Australian nurses were massacred by Japanese forces on Radji Beach, Bangka Island. Lt. Col. Vivian Bullwinkel was the sole survivor. The Bullwinkel Project documentary was produced in partnership with the Australian College of Nursing Foundation and launched at the Australian War Memorial in May 2026.
